Game of dimensions
The visual effect is built on the contrast between the abstract geometry of flat rectangles and a circular element in the middle, as if lying on this plane. Distinctive shining spots create a three-dimensional effect - the sphere breaks through the plane. Elements filled with strokes add a touch of dynamics to the composition. The rug has warm sunny palette of yellow, pastel pink, beige, clear blue, as well as metallic threads with a distinctive shine.
The rug is made of Tibetan wool and Chinese silk by traditional knotting craftsmen. Decorative techniques were used as well: multi-level pile, cut pile and loop pile, metal threads. Fiber of 18 colors was used to convey the subtleties of the color palette.
