The aesthetics of natural materials in contemporary design
The composition of the rug is a reference to the arts and crafts of ancient cultures, the main motive of which is the rhythmic repetition of elements, whether ceramics or clothing. The alternation of rows of strokes of different colors and gaps, pauses, creates a narrative. A contrasting color scheme of simple colors - gray, white, deep blue - is combined with objects made of natural materials: wood, clay, bamboo. The open texture of these materials is also echoed in the complex pattern of the rug pile of closed and cut loops.
The traditional technique of rug weaving includes such indispensable components as hand dyeing the raw material (of natural origin), loom hand weaving, and processing the pile of the finished rug. High quality wool combined with bamboo silk ensures durability, ease of use and the tactile comfort so highly valued in home textiles.
