Crystal: natural perfection
The Ice rug of the Frozen collection is an asymmetric octagon, symbolizing an ice crystal with its edges rendered by the designer in the form of crisscrossing shading. A bright blue contour accentuates the shape contrasting with the shining edge lines. An exciting play of the sunrays, the light incarnate. To achieve this full impression of golden highlights, yellow, orange, and pink threads were used. Chinese silk creates a radiant effect, while the blue elements are not uniform as well - five shades are used to convey the depth and flow of color intrinsic of watercolor painting.
Hand-knotting by Nepalese craftsmen, selective wool and silk, high pile, deep carving (the pile carving technique) emphasizes the contour with texture. The density is 100 knots per inch, while the color palette has 19 colors.
