The rug is primarily characterized by a subdued red color that covers the majority of the piece. A grey medallion sits at the center, adding a contrasting element to the design. The corners of the rug are also in grey, which frames the central medallion and create a cohesive look. The design originates from Tabriz and dates back to 1900. The dimensions of the rug are 335cm x 249cm. The design is known as Lachak toranj (Corner – medallion design) which is a traditional design.
