This is an exquisite Esfahan rug with a Toranji (medallion) pattern. The general hue is brown, with many flowing patterns that lend to the organic sense of the rug. The middle circle is the focal point of the design, with hints of blue lending a splash of color. In addition, there is a beige field in the center of the rug that contrasts with the brown backdrop. This rug, measuring 155 cm in length and 228 cm in breadth, is a large item from the twentieth century, showing the region’s traditional craftsmanship and design flair.
