Rug Khorasan-Baluch-7

The rug has a dark blue field in the middle, with five red medallions arranged vertically on top of it, each of a different size. The blue field also has red ornaments on it. The edges of the rug are also red. This is an example of a Tekrari design, which features an endless repeat pattern. The rug is from the Baluchi region and measures 48 by 117 centimeters. It dates back to the 19th century.
