The rug features a bold red rectangular medallion at its center, surrounded by a black rectangular field with two black elements above and below. The field around the medallion is adorned with intricate beige ornamentation and the corners feature a striking blue color. The edges of the rug are finished in a light red hue. The design is known as Lachak-toranj, a classic Corner-Medallion pattern, and it originates from the town of Heris. The rug is a medium size and was made in the 19th century.
