The rug features a gloomy color palette that is mostly dark red. The elaborate pattern comprises multicolored flowers that are finely crafted and stand out against the dark background. The rug was manufactured in Tabriz during the first part of the twentieth century and has a traditional Afshan design, also known as an overall floral design. It has a length of 556 cm and a width of 320 cm.
