This lovely rug has a Toranji pattern with two massive medallion-like components in brown and silver that are encircled by a brilliant field of brown hues. The borders are a gorgeous white color that complements the medallions nicely. The rug was made in the city of Quchan. The Toranji pattern is a classic pattern with a medallion as the focal point, providing a captivating and hypnotic effect. The medallions stand out as the dominant motif in this rug, and the bright field adds depth and richness to the entire pattern. The actual date of its creation is uncertain, however it is thought to be in the nineteenth century.
