The fine rug Composition XVIII from TAPIS ROUGE included in the long list of ADA 2020 and will – among other world brands – compete for the prestigious international award Archiproducts Design Awards 2020.
Inspired by the Contemporaneo style in Italian architecture, Composition XVIII is a newness and a state-of-the art interpretation of the Abstraction collection. The lines are clear and regular, the geometry and rhythm of repeating rectangles are finely balanced. Lines are created to fit in seamlessly with the regular and clear forms of contemporary objects and spaces.
The rug is hand-knotted by masters of traditional weaving in Nepal. The materials are selected New Zealand wool and silk (80:20). Pile is of different levels, emphasized with carving technique, the edge is contoured with a fringe. The colour palette is fresh and calm to blend with collectable design objects of the interior.
